Celtics won their series against the Hawks.....barely....I didn't watch a single game from the series....I guess I'm just not much of a basketball fan. Unless they go to the finals that is...but how likely is that?

Are the Patriots going back to the super bowl this year? Looking at their schedule I would say "yes". Will they win the super bowl this year....I would say "yes".

The Red Sox are going to win the world series again this year! You heard it here first and definitely not last.

I won more in a Push fest last week in 20 minutes then I would have if I played for 3 hours in the Mookie....I think top 8 started at 60 or something. There is something really wrong with that...but yet really right.

My daughter turned 3 years old today....she was born on 05-05-05 (such a cool birth date). She also sprained her ankle yesterday at my parents house. She was imitating her old cousin by jumping off a chair...ouch My next daughter will be born within the next 3 and a half weeks. Time to build that moat with alligators and piranhas around the house!!!

I am playing M.A.T.H. tonight and I will not chop! UNLESS OF COURSE I HAVE NO FUCKING CHOICE!!!!

I watched a lot of the last heads up championship on Sunday. It must be nice to be Orel Hersheiser....I mean....You get to the top of one profession (because you are the best) and then because you have tons 'o money you can get into one of the top tournaments in another profession (and get a poker site deal to boot?....Boris Becker et al). Then you get tons of acclaim (everybody kisses your ass) and go on to cash one of the top spots on national TV. Must be nice......

The Bodog 5K is a secret no longer......I even made a final table and placed 4th last week!

I love the BBT...and everything that surrounds it. I'm glad I will be able to play most of the tournament the rest of the way (unlike the whole first month). The newborn baby will arrive 1-2 weeks before the TOC so fear not ( I know most have no fear of playing me!)....I will be playing.

I have no idea most of my biggest tournament wins have been 6-max NLHE....but I should be exploring that more in depth!

The wife knows there is a sliver of a possibility that I could win a seat into the WSOP ME.......and said that I would have to go if I did...so did everybody else. Lets face it...I know my chances are slim at BEST...but with a family like mine....I could go if given the chance.

Wow...I was sick this week. I came into work on Tuesday sneezing uncontrollably and decided to call it quits halfway through the day. I ended up on my back for the better part of 3 days. I sauced myself with a few over the counter meds. There was a warning on the news channels about a super bug or super cold that is actually killing people...yikes! I feel good today though...so does my daughter. She brought the super cold home from daycare. As long as she doesn't get any ear infections I'm all set. There has been some scary nights where she had an ear infection and we had to spend the night in the emergency room....don't miss that! Last year I felt like I was sick for months at a time. It takes a toll on the family when two or more are sick...there is not much you can do. I dubbed last years bout with the cold 'Northeast disease' and it seems like an apt description. I only got out of bed for the 'Mookie', the 'Bodog Blogger Tourney'-took 5th for 109.00 in tournament cash, and the 'Riverchasers' on Thursday. I haven't done anything in the BBToo to write about yet...but it could be worse. I have to say it was a little weird playing those tourneys with no beer at all....maybe my body is trying to tell me something! I just might enter the writing contest for FullTilt. I certainly haven't been able to play my way in let alone a good score at a final table. I did make some progress in the last couple of night though. I won tier II token in the 14+1 NL turbo token race on the first try for 'The Big Game' on Sunday and another 26$ Token for 'M.A.T.H.' on Monday...so watch out biotches!!!

My birthday was yesterday....a robust 37! The Red Sox won the World Series....my Real Estate Trial by fire is almost over.....and the BBTChallenge is back in full force....good times! The following tourneys will complete the Donkfest from hell...AKA the BBT. I personally loved the whole deal....from start (more cash finishes please) finish. It looks like I will actually be moving this summer to another town in Massachusetts....after hearing about our offer on a house that was signed this morning! Closer to Boston and my job. I might actually have some time on my hands after the move is over. I do however have to sell my current house and my vacation condo. Uggh! I'm am about to get severely over-stressed in my personal finances....sssoooooo I'm glad in that respect that the D(Donkalicious)BBT will end soon. Here are the final tourneys coming up this week. Weekend Stuff....bad at M.A.T.H.

I had my token set for M.A.T.H. but I got it on Saturday......so I decided to try the 26K guarantee. After 5 hours or so I ended up finishing 22nd out of 1450 or so. Not bad.....the guy that knocked me out also took half my stack earlier. What a lucky bastard. I put him all in with pocket Q's (quickly becoming my least favorite hand) and he had 10's.....he got a 3rd 10 on the turn. Late in the tourney when everybody had big stacks he had the monster pocket 4's. He raised in early position 7K.....I had Ac-Jc....had to call to see the flop. A raggy flop 4x-8x-Jx fell....I figured he had anything from pocket 2's to pocket 10's again...maybe Ax-Kx. Turns out he has Pocket 4's......I made trip jacks on the turn but to no avail. c'est la vie. 159.00 for me.....not so bad for somebody who had the short stack for the first 2 hours or so.

Father's day was great. I'm a lucky guy when it comes to family....this much is true. I started playing some Sit'nGo's again this weekend and did pretty well. I was feasting on those 6.60's on Full Tilt. I may have to start a cycle of those again to build up somewhat of a roll. M.A.T.H. looks like a big one tonight....I'll have to fire up Buddy Dank radio and see what happens.

I just donked-out of M.A.T.H with Ah-3h into one of the big stacks....oh well...what're ya going to do............

The song 'Strange Days' just seems to fit everyday life now.....more than ever. I don't know why but I keep thinking of this song whenever I look at or read the paper or cable news....or Internet news blogs etc. Well, off that tangent and on to another more entertaining one.....the BBT! The following tourneys are designed to freak you out and test your MTT tournament skill whilst playing against some of the best. Lately I've been playing for the final table and not the points.....the main point is to make the money anyway. I see some serious tight-ass play around the points bubble and my thought is.....MAKE THE MONEY....and the major points will come! Play for the final table instead of just the points. Everybody reading this will think "duh....that's obvious"...well...I'm not so sure that it is. I wanted to post this on Monday and add M.A.T.H. (one of the toughest tourneys if not the toughest to beat) to the following list but it's getting busy here at work and it is now Wednesday...............................that means the Mookie! I'm surprised that more people don't show up for the Mookie. It would be interesting to see more than 100 entries.....including the regulars and maybe some people that are searching for random tourneys on the Internet. Well, if you are one of those roving Internet MTT journeydonkeys then sign up.....it's only 11 bucks. Don't forget about the Riverchasers Online Tour tourney #12 on Thursday either (as I'm typing this the Doors song 'Back Door Man' burst out the office stereo........weird.....that would have been crazy if it was 'Strange Days').

Mondays M.A.T.H. tourney was pretty short for me....I think I went out at 23 of 35. GCox wiped me out with his pocket K's....I had pocket 10's. I thought he might have A-x....but I was toast. I should have been more careful since he was seemingly on a rush. He came back from about T500 in chips and was picking up some serious pots before he knocked me out. Lucko was of course putting on a NLHE tourney clinic and eventually won. He seems to have a solid read on me every time I'm in a pot with him. I think I've changed my game and become much better in the past two years....except when I play a pot against him. I'll have to change it up even more I guess. Cracknaces is also kickin' some serious donkey (ass) lately. I might have to rail these two more often....just to pick up some pointers. I read both blogs regularly and have picked up some valuable info. from both. If you haven't read them yet then you are wasting your money in the mid-range buy-in tourneys. Both seem to have an edge in the MTT strategy as far as I can tell.
As always It is imperative to read Dr. Pauly and his coverage of the WSOP....both on Pokernews and Tao of Poker. You get the official WSOP chip counts and stories.....you also get the unadulterated stories and the unbelievable happenings that occur in the background. As always....great stuff. I can't get to the WSOP of poker unless some miracle happens for me. I've tried some live satellites at local establishments but I really haven't tried online. It just seems so unlikely with a limited Blonkey bankroll.

Not to mention that I'm probably going to sell my vacation condo. and my current house soon. I'm (My family) looking to move out of my current town and move to a better town....lol this ties into my opening quote of the lyrics of Jim Morrison......

Progress

I played the WPBT Stud 7 event on Sunday. I was at my condo in the white mountains of N.H. (one which will be on the R.E. market soon....I have owned it since 2004....or should I say it has owned me since 2004......it has prevented me from building a real poker bankroll....that much is sure). Much to my chagrin there were only 13 players....I saw 14 but somebody pussied out and un-registered. Better chance to cash....so what the hell. I was at a cookout with the family and other condo owners from 5:00 to 8:30...many beers and grilled foods consumed....I was buzzed and ready at 9:00PM. I ended up in second place for a nice little 96.00 or so cash. A long seesaw heads-up battle with StatikKling sobered me up pretty fast. I had (haven't looked at the hand history (9's and 8's I think...also an ace in the hole....I paired that on 6th street I believe) 3 pair when all streets were dealt...but I was pot-committed. I though Statik had 10's and K's but I think he filled his boat on 6th or 7th street. Oh well, my first WPBT cash this year....and maybe my last if this thing doesn't start getting more entries. I also had another deep cashless run in the BBT tourneys...more specifically last nights M.A.T.H. I went out 11th.....I had 10x-Jx on a flop of 6x-9d-Qd....and I pushed with the short stack. I was called by somebody with a flush draw.....Numbono maybe? He had 7d-8d...I can't remember. My straight filled...but it was the Kd and I was toast. Had to take the chance on that....but my 8th out killed me. I think I've been playing pretty well lately but no cash to show for it.
