Still no baby.....and a Final Table

Still no baby to speak of as of yet!
Made the final table to the 11.00 NLHE 6-Max. tourney. It starts every night at 11:15 ET on Stars. I won't be able to play this too many times in the near future after the baby in born.I love the format and everything about this one. It's rapidly becoming my bitch!
My biggest score came from this tourney...I won it just over two months ago for a nice 2,250.00.
Although I made the final table this time I got knocked out in the 6 spot. I raised in position with K-9o (not the best hand but I need to build up) . After the flop I had top pair good kicker and the short stack so I pushed. DJDiaper called with a flush draw and hit. Looks like he came in second after checking Officialpokerrankings. So close again....

I'm back...in 1-3 business days

That is the message I got from Full Tilt after sending 20 emails to their support. After 5 days (where have you heard this before) they finally re-enabled my non-rake back account 'DDionysus'. I thought I retired DD but that's the way it goes. I logged into my account and there was .90 cents. I freaked out again but the policy is that the money will transfer over from the now defunct 'PokahDave' in 1-3 business days. I guess they are going to refund the tournament dollars for the FTOPS 55.00 satellite also. So much for playing M.A.T.H. tonight. I guess I'm just glad to get my 900.00 back with an account on Full Tilt. What a pain....I would have just re-signed up with the DD account when I came back from exile in March.
Anyway, I made two final tables on Bodog and PokerStars this weekend. The Bodog Final table was the 11:30PM Turbo...I didn't do well but still finished with a 100 bucks. The Stars Final Table was the 3$ re buy that starts at 8:00PM ET. 8 hours later I got knocked out 7th. I made a 700 dollar prize but it's tough looking at the 1 of the 2 players that sucked out on you at the final table go on to win the fucker. over 5K.....for first prize. That would have been a nice way to go on a break while the wife and I welcome a new edition to the family! I reallllllllllly wanted to play in M.A.T.H. tonight. Maybe someone could transfer the buy-in which I will promptly send back in 1-3 business days!?

edit : I'm back as of tonight! Thanks to Bdidde for the transfer....transfer back at ya sir!

LEFTY Lester throws a No-no! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!!

2nd place finish in M.A.T.H.

That makes a 1st, 2nd, and 2nd out the last 5 or so. After a few suck outs and some well timed aggression I came in 2nd in M.A.T.H again. If it wasn't for the tourney I would be in 200th place or something. I had some battles with RecessRampage.....he reads me too well. I raised with a steal with the KingJackoff.....he pushed over the top....I thought about it and folded. I know there is a note about me that he must have (it might read something like this....if this donkey raises just push over the top...he'll fold) I forgot how well he plays against me....and I still didn't adjust. I sucked out with K-6o when I pushed in the SB into his K-Jo in the BB...another good read but I flopped a K and a 6. I later pushed under the gun with 8's and Bdidde called with A-10o. I doubled up there and later he pushed into my Q's. Q's finally held up for me and I felt indestructible at that point. I was ultra-aggressive up to the final table. That's what it takes in this tourney....I just have a knack that I can't tap into with more than 6 players at the table lately. I had to shift gears at the final table....I had literally no good hands. I did get aces with four left and everybody folded to me :( I got down to 3 (me, Blinders, and Shabazz-no link I can find) with some steals and re-steals. Shabazz Jenkins played me well and made a huge suck out with J's against Blinders A's when we were 3 handed. I think the flop had two Kings but the vaunted J fell on the river. I could hear Blinders scream from the West Coast. SJ had me out chipped like 15 to 1. I got A-Jo and SJ pushed into me with...KK.....I couldn't flop the Ace and that's how the tourney ended. Congrats Shabazz.

On the other front I can say goodbye to 'PokahDave' on Full Tilt. Ala this guy......the same exact thing happened to him when he made a big score. I am going to have to go back to being 'DDionysus'. goodbye rake back....goodbye FullTilt-PokahDave. I guess you have to be a 'name' player to get your FullTilt handle changed. I never multi-accounted but to FullTilt there is a policy that you can't ever play there with a different name. No matter how long you cancelled and re-joined. I cancelled (so I thought) back before the beginning of the year. After my real estate woes ended I signed back up in late March and became 'PokahDave'. I got an email that today that says 'PokahDave' is closed. I sent an email asking why I wasn't in the BBT3 free roll and well....that triggered the alarm!. I hope the matter is resolved soon or I'll be down and out of the BBT for a bit. So I replied to Full Tilt's customer service with the requested info. to resolve the matter. So the next time I see you I will be DDionysus again OK! After the matter is resolved I'll maybe post the email. I hope this doesn't cause any confusion with the BBTers or anybody else for that matter. I think mostly all people in the BBT3 know that I was the artist or the more apropos 'Donkey' formerly known as 'DDionysus'.

Miscellaneonday II

Why is everybody registered for the Full Tilt BBT3 freeroll but me? Al? Riggs?(I say Riggs because I heard him talking about it on livepokerradio last week) Can anybody explain this?

I was reading an looking up some old strategy archives on PocketFives and discovered this gem
I would try that strategy when going deep into tourneys....but then again...I play low limit buy-ins. There is also the problem of changing strategies over time...the article was from early in '06. A lot has changed since then. So my question for those of you who win often is Do you do anything different when deep in a NL MTT then you did say 2 years ago? I notice how the big wins seem to come in bunches for some of you....just curious as to what kind of strategy you might use in the 50.00 and less buy-in tourneys when already in the cash and heading to the final table.

Miscellaneonday

Celtics won their series against the Hawks.....barely....I didn't watch a single game from the series....I guess I'm just not much of a basketball fan. Unless they go to the finals that is...but how likely is that?

Are the Patriots going back to the super bowl this year? Looking at their schedule I would say "yes". Will they win the super bowl this year....I would say "yes".

The Red Sox are going to win the world series again this year! You heard it here first and definitely not last.

I won more in a Push fest last week in 20 minutes then I would have if I played for 3 hours in the Mookie....I think top 8 started at 60 or something. There is something really wrong with that...but yet really right.

My daughter turned 3 years old today....she was born on 05-05-05 (such a cool birth date). She also sprained her ankle yesterday at my parents house. She was imitating her old cousin by jumping off a chair...ouch My next daughter will be born within the next 3 and a half weeks. Time to build that moat with alligators and piranhas around the house!!!

I am playing M.A.T.H. tonight and I will not chop! UNLESS OF COURSE I HAVE NO FUCKING CHOICE!!!!

I watched a lot of the last heads up championship on Sunday. It must be nice to be Orel Hersheiser....I mean....You get to the top of one profession (because you are the best) and then because you have tons 'o money you can get into one of the top tournaments in another profession (and get a poker site deal to boot?....Boris Becker et al). Then you get tons of acclaim (everybody kisses your ass) and go on to cash one of the top spots on national TV. Must be nice......

The Bodog 5K is a secret no longer......I even made a final table and placed 4th last week!

I love the BBT...and everything that surrounds it. I'm glad I will be able to play most of the tournament the rest of the way (unlike the whole first month). The newborn baby will arrive 1-2 weeks before the TOC so fear not ( I know most have no fear of playing me!)....I will be playing.

I have no idea most of my biggest tournament wins have been 6-max NLHE....but I should be exploring that more in depth!

The wife knows there is a sliver of a possibility that I could win a seat into the WSOP ME.......and said that I would have to go if I did...so did everybody else. Lets face it...I know my chances are slim at BEST...but with a family like mine....I could go if given the chance.

PoooooooshFEST win

I don't have the patience to retype what happened late Monday night. FOR THOSE NEEDING AN EXPLANATION you might read my comment reply to cmitch on my last post. If you don't understand then maybe SOMEDAY you will. If that doesn't suffice then FUCK OFF! You chop chatty ghey-ass mother fuckahs!

MORE IMPORTANTLY......I won a pushfest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost made the final table. I think the only person I can't transfer cash to when somebody else wins is Donkette. Sorry about that but I tried. I'll transfer if you have a PayPal account or something but it's like 12 dollahs now...sheeeeesh.
