Going to Mohegan Sun this Saturday the !st of April...I'll have no choice but to play BlackJack there since they are the only casino in damn world that doesn't have a poker room....especially these days. Foxwoods and Mohegan's rooms are all booked..Big Tourney this week at Foxwoods though...someday I will play to qualify in one of these NL Hold'em tourney's...

Once in a while........

When the tables are too full in the poker room....play BlackJack....for 12 hours straight......and win........I couldn't lose. I even hit a 500.00$ lucky sevens "1 dollar sucker bet" on a table. Three sevens in a row just like I planned..if it was 3 suited sevens it would have been 5,000.00. The people at the table couldn't believe it..nobody played it once..I decided when the card shoe was full to put the 1 dollar bet and it worked out...of course it was about 2:30AM and the only other people where nightowls like me...

Going to Foxwoods.......

A friend of mine and I are going to tear it up at Foxwoods on the 23rd of March...probably until the afternoon of the 24th....I hear the Poker Tourney players there aren't that good..we'll see how I do on the Act1, and Act2 tourneys....I have played there on the Limit Hold'Em 2-4 tables and walked away with 50.00 more than I walked in with in two hours...not bad for someone who was playing in a real casino for the first time...Hold'Em that is...

Sit'N'Go solution.....plus free ESPN Contest

Trying a few Sit'N'Go No Limit STT tourney's definately can get you out of the slump...if you have one...I've been playing a lot of them on UltimateBet lately. The competition is great but in the last four 5.00+.50 STT's i've placed 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, and 1st....the main thing with these STT's is have patience...there are so many people out there that have none and they try to bluff with nothing it's amazing...There is also a free Poker download from ESPN that is offering some pretty good prizes for free! I played one NL STT tourney and won the first time I played..the competition isn't that good so for all those experienced internet poker players..get in the game!

Another final table on Empire Poker...although the buy-in was 6.00 there was good poker being played...I was short-stacked and went out 6th out of 10...I had to go in with 6-5suited and almost flopped a flush to stay alive but to no avail... 

UB Tourney on Feb. 25th...for a buy-in of 300+20 to a huge Aruba tourney...unfortunately the gods of the final table were not smiling on me and I went all-in with Kh-Kc and mec opz called with Ks-Kd and wouldn't you know it but 4 spades fell on the flop and the last on 5th street to knock me out in 8th...with a 40.00 dollar payout...what shit luck that is... 

Nothing beats a good old fashioned home poker game....

I played a home poker game with some buddies of mine this weekend and I kicked some ass if I do say so myself...we played games like "guts", "arizona", and the best "screw your neighbor"..these are all draw poker based and tons'o'fun. The drunker I got the more money I won...I actually needed this because I am basically comic relief on the golf course when I play with them. I can usually hold my own on the pool table but they play in a league and usually kick my ass in that..my buddy has this incredible sports bar in his basement basically furnished with an awesome pool table, all wood bar with built in keg-erator and all the music and DVD's in the world..a great setting for the home poker game...there is also RedSox and Patriots memoribilia all over the walls. I'm going to have to drum up some more home poker variants for this game...two weeks until the next one...

Bad Karma from this article

Ever since I read this fucking article i've had some bad shit happen...but playing sit-n-go's is actually working out pretty well...but still my bankroll that I built up is still slowly dwindling...I am however going back to basics...and pulling out the old books....

Bad Poker Karma has caught up to me....

In my last post I said "sometimes it's not bad to chase when you have a good draw...like having to overcards..." This has caught up to me in a bad way....the last two nights of Party Poker bad beat tables it seems like everybody is calling everything even when you have them beat...that is until the river!...I was under-the-gun at a 2-4 limit bad beat table..had two J's..I bet..5 people called..nothing flopped but rags...I bet again one person drops out...another rag falls..bet again another two people drop out...me heads up against one other player...I checked because I was reading him as having a straight...no..he catches the miracle 7 for a set on the river...sucko..this ws repeated hand after hand and I wasn't even playing a lot of flops...something like 29% seen..as good as I was going last week it's that bad this week...I think I might quell the losses a bit by playing some sit-n-go's or something...

Empire Poker

Empire Poker is not different for ring games...play basic poker and you will make money...I turned $100.00 into $250 in a matter of a few hours on the 2-4 limit and 1-3 limit tables. People get so mad when you decide to chase a hand..I had 10-Jc and a Q,2, 6 fell..somebody on the table bet 2...I decided to call and a Kd fell....that one player and I were the only ones left and he bet 4 so I figured why not call and draw...bingo..and Ad fell and i made a nut straight...I bet 4 and he called and then proceeded to freak out...."Keep chasing" he types...goes on and on..somtimes you chase...and it works out...I don't usually do that because I would lose money fast but drawing is OK once in a while....

PartyPokers Bad Beat tables.....

The bad beat tables on Party Poker are feast or famine......one night lose $100...next night win $320!! it's truly a paradise for basic 123 poker....but sometimes...it doesn't matter that you might have a huge hand...somebody will always try to draw out on you..which can be good and can be very bad. I used to just play tournaments on PartyPoker but you'll eventually lose your whole bankroll no matter how good you may thing you are...You have to build bankroll by playing the ring games and bad-beat limit tables to build bankroll and occasionally go for a few tourneys... anyway I deposited $50 again this time and turned it into 660.00 in a matter of a couple of weeks...this is the way to go..I still play Sit-n-Go's and other big satellites but you just can't expect to build on that ...

My impression of Chris Moneymaker.....Actually playing Texas Hold'em with my wife on the ferry ride back from Nantucket....
